In partnership with Pulse College and Dublin Comic Con, Lightning Strike Comics has hosted numerous different leading industry speakers and workshops, some of which have been archived here.

World-renowned Voice Director Andrea Romano joined Pulse College live via Zoom to discuss her career at length and share advice for aspiring voice actors. The discussion covers everything from Andrea's own educational background and industry break-through moment, to her experience working on legendary shows such as Tiny Toon Adventures, DuckTales and Batman: The Animated Series. This conversation is a must see for any fan of animation and VO artistry.

Acclaimed comic book writer and editor Tom Peyer Zoomed in live to Dublin Comic Con 2022, March Edition to talk about his career and work with AHOY Comics and 'The Wrong Earth'. Tom also shared advice for budding creators and took a Q&A session with attendees.

Senior Creative Editor at Titan Comics and creator of 'Psycho Gran', David Leach Zoomed in live to Dublin Comic Con 2022, March Edition to talk about his career and share advice for those looking to break into industry.

Creator and director of the new web series High Functioning, Samantha Brooks, Zoomed in live to DCC to discuss the premise of her new show and share advice with other creators with similar aspirations. Samantha discusses her process and answers questions on crowd funding and the genesis of the show's concept. Author of 'The Legend of William Lamport' Eoin McAuley spoke via Zoom with the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) on 17th November 2022, as part of the committee of a research project entitled: “An Irish poet in New Spain: Toward the creation of a digital repository on the life and work of William Lamport”, which is a part of the Research Coordination of the Philosophy and Letters Faculty of the university. This talk was translated live into Spanish necessitating a slower pace of delivery and periods of pause for the translator.
