Course Overview:
This workshop will help students with the creation of a professional portfolio website using
Framer. Through hands-on exercises, interactive tutorials, and respectful group feedback,
students will learn how to design and build websites that showcase their work and skills to
potential employers or clients. Lessons will cover essential topics such as layout design,
animations, responsive web practices, and integrating multimedia to create a compelling digital
presence. By the end of the course, students will have a fully functional and visually engaging
portfolio website to share and improve their job prospects.
Course Learning Outcomes:
1. Students will have explored various web design principles, including layout, typography,
and visual hierarchy, through a series of hands-on projects.
2. Students will have completed a professional portfolio website that showcases their skills,
work experience, and personality.
3. Students will have refined their ability to give and receive feedback on website design,
helping them understand common design patterns and user experience principles. They
will leave with a portfolio optomised for job hunting and freelance opportunities.
Class Materials/Resources:
Students must have access to a device such as a laptop or computer connected to the Internet
and equipped with Framer software (either the desktop app or it can be used through the
browser). Course materials, including design assets and additional reading, will be shared via
email. Assignments should be submitted through Framer's share feature, allowing peers to
leave feedback on the live website.

Class Duration and Delivery:
5 week course (10 lessons) delivered via Zoom.
Classes will take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings 6.30pm-8.00pm.
